         Multiscale Multiphysics Scientific Environment 
  Towards realistic modeling of dense stellar systems in MUSE
  -----------------------------------------------------------

Dear Modest-8b participant,

the time of the meeting draws near and we are looking forward to
welcoming you all in Amsterdam in about two weeks. Here are a few
final remarks to make sure the workshop will be a success.

Below, you will find a short questionnaire and to finalize our
planning we kindly ask you to return the filled-in form to us by
e-mail (modest8b@gmail.com) as soon as possible (not later than
Friday, September 5th).

On Sunday, September 14th, we will have a small welcome reception
starting at 6pm in the Cafe "Koosje", Plantage Middenlaan 37 (tram 9 and
14, stop Plantage Kerklaan).  Drinks and a few small snacks will be
provided.

The meeting will be held in the Science Park on Kruislaan, which can
be reached by bus 40 or tram 9 (stop Kruislaan, from there you can
either walk or take the bus). At the Science Park, enter building 403
through the main entrance. You will need to identify yourself
(passport or some kind of photo ID) at the reception desk to receive a
visitor pass that will allow you access to the building for the week.

The schedule for the meeting is now available on our web site
(http://modesta.science.uva.nl/modest/modest8b/schedule.html). As you
will notice a lot of time is set aside for discussions and hands-on
MUSE programming sessions. To this end, WLAN will be available for
connection your laptops to the outside world.

In addition, a few talks have been scheduled. We also still have time
available if you are interested in presenting some of your (MUSE
related) work.

Apart from the scientific programme, we have also organized a canal
cruise that will introduce you to sights of Amsterdam. On Thursday,
7pm, we will have the workshop dinner at the restaurant "Kantjil & de
Tijger".

Lunch and tea/coffee will be provided as indicated in the
schedule. The meeting will be closed on Friday after lunch.
