Dear Students for the MODEST-5c summer school.

It is about time to inform you about the schedule and whereabouts of the summer school. there are a few organizational issues I would like to convene to you.

$\bullet$
All lectures are held in Amsterdam at the Astronomical Institute 'Anton Pannekoek'. Which is located at the Kruislaan 403, building F room F320, which is on the third floor.

$\bullet$
Start of the school: Sunday 24 July at 19.00 hours. All students and professors will be present to meet each other and have a drink at cafe Vertigo in Vondelpark 3 in Amsterdam (Around the corner from the StayOkay Hostel, see:
http://www.vertigo.nl). There we will have a local brew.

$\bullet$
The School ends on Friday 29 July at 19.00 hours.

$\bullet$
You should pick-up your room key for the StayOkay Hostel Vondelpark on Sunday 24 July between 14.00 and 18.00. The address is: Zandpad 1 (near the Vonderlpark) in Amsterdam. The web page is:
http://www.StayOkay.nl/AmsterdamVondelpark.html If you stay at another place, you are on your own.

$\bullet$
Bicycles should be picked-up together on Monday 25 July at 9.00 am. The address to pick-up your bike is: MacBike, Weteringschans 2 (near the Leidsche Plein, which is on walking distance from the StayOkay Hostel).

$\bullet$
Checkout from the SayOkay is Saturday 30 July at 10.30.

$\bullet$
Bicycles should be returned Saturday 30 July before 17.00.

$\bullet$
Schedule:
The auditorium, lecture room and computer room will be open daily (from Monday till Saturday) from 8.00 hours till 19.00 hours. Coffee and thee will be available throughout the program. A detailed schedule can be found in Tab.1.

$\bullet$
On Friday afternoon you will have the opportunity to present your project in a 10 minutes lecture.

$\bullet$
We plan to write an extensive report on this school in the form of a WIKI web page. Even if you have no opportunity to present your work in a oral lecture, or you opted not to do this for other reasons, we encourage you to write a small report (<5 pages) on your project as if it ware a research paper. The objective of this paper is to publish it on the school's web page. The paper should be written concise, clear with figures and equations if necessary. Maim of the paper is to initiate subsequent research on the topic you have been exploring. This can be at a follow-up school or for peers who are interested in small workable problems to start-up in the field.

$\bullet$
Excursion. On Wednesday afternoon we plan a bike ride through a nice part of the Amsterdam country side. We will leave from the Astronomical Institute on Thursday 27 July on 15.00 and follow a scenic route.

$\bullet$
The Banquet will be held on Thursday 28 July at 19.00.
